Finnish citizens can travel to the Dominican Republic for tourism without a visa, staying up to 30 days (extendable to 120 days). You must complete the free online e-Ticket before arrival; the tourist card fee is bundled into airline tickets for air arrivals. A Finland ordinary passport holder does NOT need a visa for a short tourist visit to the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic grants visa-free entry to European Union nationals for tourism, allowing an initial stay of up to 30 days that can be extended in-country up to 120 days for a fee. Two practical steps apply to all travelers: (1) complete the free electronic entry/exit form (e-Ticket) at eticket.migracion.gob.do before arrival to generate a QR code, and (2) hold a Tourist Card, which for air travelers is automatically included in the airfare (no separate purchase) and for land/sea arrivals costs about USD 10. As an exceptional measure in force through 31 December 2026, EU tourists may enter with a passport valid only for the duration of their stay rather than the usual six months; nonetheless, carrying at least six months' validity is the safe practice. The Dominican Republic is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entry into the Dominican Republic.
