Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit BS?
No visa required. Finnish ordinary passport holders can enter The Bahamas visa-free for tourism and stay up to 3 months (90 days) within a 6-month period. You need a passport valid for at least 6 months, a return/onward ticket, and proof of funds. Finland is on The Bahamas' visa-exemption list under the EU-Bahamas short-stay visa waiver agreement. Finnish citizens holding an ordinary passport may enter The Bahamas without a visa for tourism and remain for up to three (3) months. Entry is granted on arrival by an immigration officer, who will verify a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds for the stay. There is no entry visa fee; admittance is at the discretion of the immigration officer. The Bahamas is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering The Bahamas (ETIAS is a separate European scheme affecting non-EU travelers entering Europe). The Bahamas requires arriving passengers to complete the electronic Click2Clear / immigration arrival card, and a departure/airport tax applies but is normally bundled into the airline ticket price.
