Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit BE?
No visa needed. As an EU citizen, a Finnish passport holder enjoys full freedom of movement and can travel to Belgium with a valid passport or national ID card for any length of stay. Finland and Belgium are both members of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Under EU free-movement rules, Finnish citizens may enter, stay, work, and live in Belgium without a visa and without any time limit. They can travel using either a valid Finnish passport or a valid Finnish national identity card (with travel entitlement). Because both countries are inside Schengen, there are normally no systematic border checks on internal flights/crossings, though spot identity checks can occur and temporary internal border controls may be reintroduced. The Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule, ETIAS authorization, and EES biometric registration apply only to non-EU/third-country nationals - they do NOT apply to EU citizens like Finns. There is no fee and no application of any kind.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
