A Spanish ordinary passport holder needs a visa obtained in advance to enter Yemen. There is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival for Spanish citizens, and the June 2025 eVisa is limited to organized tourist groups via accredited Yemeni agencies. Spain's Foreign Ministry strongly advises against all travel to Yemen due to armed conflict. Spain (ordinary passport) is not eligible for visa-free entry or visa on arrival in Yemen. Only 11 nationalities (mostly Arab/GCC states plus Malaysia) qualify for visa on arrival; Spain is not among them. Since February 2012, visas cannot be issued at Yemeni airports, so Spanish travelers must obtain a visa in advance from a Yemeni embassy or consulate. An electronic visa system launched on 24 June 2025, but it is currently restricted to organized tourist groups of at least 10 members traveling through a Yemeni travel agency accredited by the General Authority for Tourism, with round-trip tickets; even then an approved e-visa generally must be converted to a sticker visa at a Yemeni mission. Individual tourism is effectively not facilitated. Critically, Yemen is in active armed conflict: Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel under any circumstance, the Spanish embassy operations are limited, and a passport containing any Israeli visa or stamp is grounds for refusal of entry. Given suspended/limited consular services and conflicting practical channels, the conservative and accurate verdict is visa-required.
