No visa. Spanish citizens travel to Norway visa-free with full EU/EEA freedom-of-movement rights and can stay indefinitely; a valid passport or national ID card is all that is required. Spain is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Area, and Norway is part of both the Schengen Area and the European Economic Area (EEA). Under the EEA Agreement, Spanish citizens enjoy freedom of movement: they may enter, travel, live and work in Norway without a visa or residence permit. For a short tourist visit, a Spanish ordinary passport holder simply presents a valid passport or national identity card at the border. There is no 90/180-day limit for EU/EEA citizens because freedom of movement applies rather than the Schengen short-stay rule that governs third-country nationals; the 90/180 rule and ETIAS apply only to non-EU/EEA visa-exempt nationals. ETIAS (expected to launch late 2026) does not apply to EU/EEA citizens, and Norway's Entry/Exit System (EES, live since April 2026) does not register EU/EEA nationals the way it does third-country travelers. For stays beyond three months, Spanish citizens must register with the police/UDI under EEA registration rules, but this is not a visa.
