🇪🇸西班牙(Spain)🇮🇸冰岛(Iceland)ES-IS 西班牙(Spain) 前往 冰岛(Iceland) 签证要求
No visa. As an EU citizen, a Spanish passport holder enjoys freedom of movement and can travel to Iceland with no visa, no ETIAS, and no fixed time limit. A valid passport or Spanish national ID card is enough. Spain and Iceland are both members of the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Schengen Area. Although Iceland is not an EU member state, it participates in EU freedom of movement through the EEA Agreement. This means Spanish nationals are not treated as third-country travelers: they do not need a visa, do not need ETIAS, and are not bound by the Schengen 90/180-day short-stay limit when entering Iceland. A Spaniard may enter, stay, work, study, and reside in Iceland on the basis of EU/EEA free-movement rights. For a tourist trip, the only document required is a valid Spanish passport or national identity card (DNI). Note that ETIAS, expected to launch in late 2026, applies only to visa-exempt non-EU/EEA nationals (such as US, UK, or Brazilian passport holders) and does NOT apply to Spanish citizens. For stays beyond three months for residence, registration with Icelandic authorities (Registers Iceland / Þjóðskrá) may be required, but no visa or permit is needed for tourism or short visits. Border checks between Spain and Iceland are generally absent as both are in the Schengen Area, though airlines and authorities may still ask to see a valid travel document.
