🇪🇬埃及(Egypt)🇸🇦沙特阿拉伯(Saudi Arabia)EG-SA 埃及(Egypt) 前往 沙特阿拉伯(Saudi Arabia) 签证要求
Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa before traveling to Saudi Arabia for tourism. Egypt is not on the Saudi tourist eVisa eligible-country list, so most Egyptians must apply through the Saudi Embassy/consulate in Egypt (or an approved visa center). The convenient eVisa or visa-on-arrival channel is only open to Egyptians who already hold a valid, used US, UK, or Schengen visa, or valid GCC residency. As of mid-2026, Egypt is not among the roughly 66 nationalities eligible for Saudi Arabia's online tourist eVisa. An ordinary Egyptian passport holder therefore cannot get visa-free entry or a standard eVisa/visa-on-arrival on the strength of the Egyptian passport alone. The standard route is to apply for a tourist (visit) visa at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Cairo, a Saudi consulate, or an authorized visa application center, submitting passport, photo, accommodation, return ticket and financial proof. Processing typically runs about 5 to 15 working days. There is one important shortcut: Egyptians who hold a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa that has been used at least once (i.e. has an entry stamp), or who are permanent residents of those areas or GCC states, can instead obtain the Saudi tourist eVisa online (about SAR 535 including mandatory insurance, one-year multiple-entry, up to 90 days per stay) or, when flying with a Saudi-based carrier, a visa on arrival. Travelers should also note that Saudi authorities periodically restrict or limit visit visas for a group of nationalities (Egypt has been affected) during the Hajj season, sometimes issuing only single-entry visas with stays up to 90 days; confirm current status before booking. Because Egypt has no visa-free, generic eVisa, or generic visa-on-arrival channel, the conservative and correct verdict is visa-required.
