No visa is required. Egyptian ordinary passport holders may enter Malaysia visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. You must complete the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival. Egypt is on Malaysia's visa-exemption list for ordinary passport holders, granting visa-free entry for social/tourist visits of up to 90 days per entry. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed for short tourism. There is, however, a mandatory pre-arrival step: the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), a free online form all foreign visitors (with limited exemptions) must submit within 72 hours before arrival since 1 January 2024. The passport must be valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, with at least one blank page. Note: some third-party visa-agency sites mislabel the MDAC as an "eVisa" or "eTA" and charge a fee for it; the MDAC is free and is not a visa. An actual Malaysia eVisa exists but applies to visa-required nationalities (e.g. India, China, certain others), not to Egyptian passport holders for tourism. Immigration officers grant the social visit pass on arrival; the exact stay (commonly stamped up to 90 days) is at the officer's discretion based on onward travel and funds.
