🇪🇬埃及(Egypt)🇱🇺卢森堡(Luxembourg)EG-LU 埃及(Egypt) 前往 卢森堡(Luxembourg) 签证要求
Yes. Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Luxembourg for tourism. Egypt is not on the EU visa-exempt list, so ETIAS does not apply; you must apply for a full Schengen visa before you travel. Luxembourg is a member of the Schengen Area, and Egypt is a third country whose nationals require a visa to enter the Schengen zone. An Egyptian ordinary passport holder traveling to Luxembourg for tourism must obtain a uniform Schengen Type C (short-stay) visa before departure. This visa allows a maximum stay of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Applications are lodged at the consulate of the country that is the main destination of the trip; for Luxembourg this is typically handled via a representing partner consulate and/or the VFS Global / TLScontact visa application centre in Cairo, since Luxembourg has limited consular presence in Egypt. The standard adult visa fee is EUR 90 (raised from EUR 80 on 11 June 2024). Applicants must show a passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure, two recent photos, round-trip travel and accommodation bookings, proof of sufficient funds (roughly EUR 100 per day), and Schengen-wide travel medical insurance with at least EUR 30,000 coverage. Standard processing is up to 15 calendar days, though it can extend to several weeks in peak periods. ETIAS (the EU travel authorisation expected in Q4 2026) is only for visa-exempt nationalities and does NOT apply to Egyptian citizens, who continue to need the full Schengen visa. The new EES (Entry/Exit System) goes live 10 April 2026 and will register biometric border crossings, but it does not replace the visa requirement.
