🇪🇬埃及(Egypt)🇱🇦老挝(Laos)EG-LA 埃及(Egypt) 前往 老挝(Laos) 签证要求
Egyptian (ordinary passport) travelers need a visa for Laos and should obtain the Lao eVisa online before departure. It is a single-entry tourist visa allowing a 30-day stay, with a fee of about USD 50. A holder of an ordinary Egyptian passport is not visa-exempt for Laos. The recommended and safest route is the official Lao eVisa, applied for online at the government portal (laoevisa.gov.la) before travel. The eVisa is a single-entry tourist authorization permitting a stay of up to 30 days; the eVisa itself is valid for 60 days from the date of approval, within which entry must be made. The standard fee is approximately USD 50 (China and Vietnam nationals pay a reduced USD 35), payable online, with processing typically around 3 business days. The eVisa must be used at designated ports of entry, which include Wattay International Airport (Vientiane), Luang Prabang International Airport, Pakse International Airport, and several Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge crossings plus the Boten (China) road and rail checkpoints. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have blank pages. While a visa on arrival is also available at major entry points for many nationalities, the eVisa is preferable because it confirms authorization in advance and avoids queues and uncertainty at the border. Laos is in Southeast Asia and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Note: some older reference lists categorize Egypt under "visa required in advance"; however, current official eVisa coverage and multiple travel sources indicate Egypt is eligible to apply online. Travelers should confirm their nationality is selectable on the official portal at the time of application.
