Yes. Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Cyprus for tourism. Cyprus is not yet in the Schengen area (as of June 2026), so it issues its own national short-stay (type C) visa for stays of up to 90 days, applied for through VFS Global or the Cyprus Embassy/Consulate in Egypt before travel. Cyprus is an EU member state but is NOT part of the Schengen area as of 2026 (full Schengen accession is targeted but not yet effective, and ETIAS does not yet apply to Cyprus). It therefore operates its own national visa regime. Egyptian ordinary passport holders are on the visa-required list and must obtain a Cyprus short-stay (type C) visa before traveling for tourism.
