Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a Cuba eVisa before travel. Since 1 July 2025 the eVisa has replaced the old paper tourist card and is mandatory for tourism. Egypt is not on Cuba's visa-exempt list, so an ordinary Egyptian passport holder must obtain travel authorization before flying to Cuba for tourism. As of 1 July 2025, Cuba's electronic visa (eVisa) fully replaced the legacy paper "tourist card" and is now the standard entry document for most nationalities, including Egyptians. The eVisa is single-entry and permits a tourist stay of up to 90 days, extendable once for a further 90 days at an immigration office inside Cuba. Apply through the official government portal (evisacuba.cu) or via a Cuban consulate/authorized agency; processing is typically up to 72 business hours. The base fee is around USD 50 (it varies by issuing country/channel). Separately, every traveler must complete the free online D'Viajeros immigration and customs form within 7 days before arrival and present its QR code at check-in and on landing. Cuba also requires proof of medical/travel insurance covering Cuba, a passport valid at least 6 months, onward/return tickets, and proof of funds (about USD 50/day).
