German ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance for Nepal. They get a tourist Visa on Arrival (VoA) at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), Pokhara, Gautam Buddha (Lumbini) airports and designated land borders. Fees: USD 30 (15 days), USD 50 (30 days), USD 125 (90 days), multiple-entry, max 150 days per calendar year. Nepal grants Visa on Arrival to German citizens (and all EU nationals) for tourism. You can apply at the immigration counter on arrival or pre-fill the online form for a faster process. Choose 15, 30, or 90 days; the visa is multiple-entry. Pay in cash (USD preferred; EUR, GBP and other major currencies plus Nepali rupees accepted). Passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Nepal is NOT in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 Schengen rule and ETIAS do not apply. Citizens of a short list of countries (e.g. Nigeria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria) are excluded from VoA, but Germany is fully eligible.
