German ordinary passport holders get a FREE visa on arrival in Lebanon for tourism, valid for a stay of up to 1 month. No advance application is needed for short tourist visits. As of May 2026, German (ordinary passport) tourists do not need a pre-arranged visa for short visits to Lebanon. A free visa on arrival is issued at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (and other ports of entry) for tourist stays of up to one month, confirmed by both the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswaertiges Amt) and Lebanon's General Directorate of General Security visa policy. The visa can be extended for up to two additional months through General Security. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months with blank pages, a confirmed return/onward ticket, and proof of accommodation/contact details in Lebanon. A critical restriction: any evidence of prior travel to Israel (stamps, visas, or seals) will result in refusal of entry, and dual nationals should review the Foreign Office security advisories carefully given the regional security situation.
