Do Germany passport holders need a visa to visit HT?
German ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist stays in Haiti of up to 3 months. A US$10 tourist fee (payable in USD, EUR or CAD) is collected on arrival, the passport must be valid for at least 6 months, and an onward/return ticket is required. As a national of a Schengen state, a German citizen holding an ordinary passport may enter Haiti visa-free for tourism for up to three months. No visa is arranged in advance and no embassy application is needed for a short visit. On arrival travelers complete an entry/immigration form and a customs declaration, and pay a tourist tax of US$10 (also accepted as EUR 10 or CAD 10). The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and proof of onward or return travel must be available. For stays exceeding three months, a visa must be obtained from a Haitian diplomatic mission before travel. Important safety note: the German Federal Foreign Office maintains a formal travel warning (Reisewarnung) against travel to Haiti due to severe security risks; this does not change the visa rule but should weigh heavily on any travel decision.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
