No visa needed. As an EU citizen, a German passport holder can enter Croatia freely under EU freedom of movement using a valid passport or national ID card. No ETIAS, no EES registration, no time limit on stays. Both Germany and Croatia are EU member states, and Croatia joined the Schengen Area on 1 January 2023. Under EU freedom of movement, German citizens have an unrestricted right to enter, travel, and reside in Croatia carrying either a valid German passport or a valid German national identity card (Personalausweis).
