German ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Fiji. A free Visitor Permit is granted on arrival for up to 4 months. Germany is on Fiji's official list of visa-exempted countries. A German citizen traveling for tourism receives a Visitor Permit (visitor's visa) free of charge at the port of entry, valid for a stay of up to four months. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival fee applies. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least six months beyond entry, a confirmed onward or return ticket, proof of accommodation, and evidence of sufficient funds. The permit is strictly for tourism, visiting friends/family, attending conferences, or transit; employment and paid work are prohibited (business visitors are typically granted only 14 days). Extensions of up to two additional months are possible from within Fiji before the permit expires, for a fee. Fiji is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route.
