Do Germany passport holders need a visa to visit CM?
German ordinary passport holders need a visa for Cameroon and should apply for the official eVisa online at evisacam.cm before travel. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival option for tourism. Cameroon requires German ordinary passport holders to obtain a visa before arrival. As of 2024 Cameroon switched to a fully electronic system: the Cameroon Embassy in Berlin no longer processes paper applications and directs all ordinary visa applicants to the official government portal evisacam.cm. Travelers create an account, complete the form, upload the passport bio-data page, a flight reservation and proof of accommodation (or invitation letter), and a yellow fever vaccination certificate, then pay online. Once approved, an eVisa with a QR code is emailed and must be printed for presentation at the border. The short-stay tourist eVisa permits stays of up to 90 days, available as single or multiple entry. Cameroon is in Central Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for entry, and the passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Apply at least 10 working days before departure; standard processing typically runs about 5-11 working days.
