🇨🇳中国(China)🇺🇾乌拉圭(Uruguay)CN-UY 中国(China) 前往 乌拉圭(Uruguay) 签证要求
Chinese ordinary passport holders generally need a consular (paper) tourist visa for Uruguay. There is NO eVisa or visa-on-arrival. A conditional visa waiver exists only if you already hold a valid multiple-entry visa for the US, Canada, the Schengen Area, or the UK and enter through Carrasco Airport or the ports of Montevideo/Colonia. As of 2026-05-30, a Chinese (PRC) ordinary passport holder traveling to Uruguay for tourism normally requires a visa obtained in advance from a Uruguayan diplomatic mission (Embassy in Beijing or Consulate General in Shanghai). Uruguay does not offer an eVisa or visa-on-arrival to Chinese ordinary passport holders, so the default channel is a consular tourist visa. A notable exception applies: Chinese ordinary passport holders who hold a valid multiple-entry visa (or a visa valid more than 18 months) for the United States, Canada, the Schengen Area, or the United Kingdom may enter Uruguay visa-free, provided the passport is valid at least 6 months and they enter through Carrasco International Airport, the Port of Montevideo, or the Port of Colonia. Travelers without such a third-country visa must apply for a Uruguayan visa. (Note: the separate June 2025 China visa-free trial benefits Uruguayan nationals entering China, not the reverse direction.) Because the visa-free channel is conditional and does not apply to most Chinese travelers, the conservative verdict is visa-required.
