🇨🇳中国(China)🇳🇵尼泊尔(Nepal)CN-NP 中国(China) 前往 尼泊尔(Nepal) 签证要求
Chinese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance for tourism in Nepal. They get a visa on arrival (VoA) at Tribhuvan International Airport and other authorized entry points, and Nepal grants this tourist visa GRATIS (free of charge) to Chinese nationals. The free visa is available once per calendar year; a second visit in the same year requires the standard fee. A Chinese citizen holding an ordinary passport can travel to Nepal for tourism using a visa on arrival, which is the recommended and overwhelmingly used route. Visa-on-arrival counters at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu) and at land borders issue tourist visas of 15, 30 or 90 days with multiple-entry validity within the calendar year. Crucially, Nepal exempts Chinese nationals from the tourist visa fee, so the visa is issued free (gratis) rather than at the standard USD 30/50/125 rates that other nationalities pay. This fee waiver has been in place since 2015 and remains current as of 2026, confirmed by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing. An optional online pre-application via the Nepal Immigration portal can speed up the arrival process, but it is not mandatory. Holders of Chinese diplomatic and official passports enjoy a separate visa-free arrangement for stays up to one month. Travelers should carry proof of onward travel and accommodation, a passport valid at least six months, and a passport photo. The free-of-charge benefit is generally limited to once per calendar year; additional entries within the same year are charged at standard rates.
