🇨🇳中国(China)🇲🇿莫桑比克(Mozambique)CN-MZ 中国(China) 前往 莫桑比克(Mozambique) 签证要求
Chinese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a traditional visa for Mozambique, but they MUST obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online before departure. China is one of 29 unilaterally visa-exempt countries, yet the ETA is mandatory as of 2026. As of 31 May 2026, China is on Mozambique's list of 29 visa-exempt countries, so Chinese ordinary passport holders do not require a conventional tourist visa or visa on arrival. However, since the visa-waiver rules were tightened, all travelers from these exempt countries must apply for and receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online before boarding. The ETA is issued through the official portal evisa.gov.mz, which was relaunched on 11 February 2026 (operated with VFS Global). The ETA permits a short tourist stay of up to 30 days, allows multiple entries, is valid 60 days from approval, and is extendable for a further 30 days at the immigration services in Mozambique. The headline ETA fee is around USD 48, and an additional administrative fee of 650 MZN (about USD 10) is collected on arrival. Approvals are usually issued within about 48 hours, but officials recommend applying 3-5 days before travel. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least 6 months with blank pages, a confirmed return/onward ticket, hotel booking, and proof of sufficient funds. Because the verdict hinges on a recent procedural change (visa-exempt but ETA-mandatory), travelers should verify on evisa.gov.mz shortly before departure.
