Chinese ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to visit Equatorial Guinea for tourism. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for regular passports; the existing China-Equatorial Guinea waiver covers only diplomatic, official and service passports. The tourist eVisa is single-entry, generally valid for and allowing a stay of up to 30 days, costs about USD 75, and is typically approved within roughly 24-72 hours after payment (some agents quote longer, so allow a buffer). A critical condition: eVisa holders must enter through Malabo International Airport. Equatorial Guinea also requires a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate for entry, and travelers should carry proof of accommodation, onward/return tickets and sufficient funds. Because sources are consistent that ordinary passports are not exempt, the conservative and correct verdict for a Chinese tourist is eVisa required.
