🇨🇳中国(China)🏳格陵兰(Greenland)CN-GL 中国(China) 前往 格陵兰(Greenland) 签证要求
Yes, a Chinese ordinary passport holder needs a visa to visit Greenland. Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark but is NOT in the Schengen Area, so a regular Schengen/Denmark visa does not cover it. You must obtain a short-stay (Type C) visa whose sticker explicitly states "Valid for Greenland." It is applied for through Danish diplomatic missions / VFS Global in China using the Schengen application procedure. Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark but stands outside the Schengen cooperation. As a result, China remains on the list of countries whose nationals require a visa, and a standard Danish or Schengen visa is not valid for entry to Greenland. Chinese ordinary passport holders must obtain a separate short-stay visa, issued as a Schengen-format Type C sticker that carries the special endorsement "Valid for Greenland" (and optionally the Faroe Islands). The application uses the same procedure and fee structure as a Denmark Schengen visa (online application via ApplyVisa.um.dk plus biometrics at VFS Global in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and others), and a single application can cover both Greenland and Schengen if Denmark is the main destination. The maximum stay is up to 90 days within a 180-day period. The standard visa fee is EUR 90 for adults, plus VFS service charges payable in CNY. Standard processing is roughly 2-3 weeks; an ADS fast-track arrangement run through the Danish Embassy in Beijing with accredited tour operators can shorten this to about three days. A biometric e-passport with at least 6 months validity and travel medical insurance (when combined with Schengen travel) is required.
