🇨🇳中国(China)🇪🇷厄立特里亚(Eritrea)CN-ER 中国(China) 前往 厄立特里亚(Eritrea) 签证要求
Chinese ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Eritrea for tourism. There is no visa-free entry, visa on arrival, or eVisa for ordinary passports. The visa must be obtained in advance from an Eritrean diplomatic mission (embassy/consulate) before travel. As of 2026-05-30, holders of a Chinese ordinary (private) passport must obtain a visa before traveling to Eritrea for tourism or short visits. Eritrea exempts only holders of Chinese diplomatic, official, service, and public-affairs passports (up to 60 days); ordinary passport holders are not covered by any waiver. Eritrea has no functioning electronic visa (eVisa) system and does not grant visa on arrival at Asmara airport for tourists, so the visa sticker must be secured in advance through an Eritrean embassy or consulate. The application requires the official form (B62.3) completed and signed, a passport-size photo, a passport valid at least six months beyond the trip, proof of sufficient funds, and the visa fee. A standard tourist visa is typically valid for three months from issuance and permits a stay of about one month per entry, with extensions handled by Immigration in Asmara. Processing usually takes a minimum of 15 business days, and applicants generally must submit (often mail) their original passport to the processing mission. Because Eritrea has limited diplomatic presence, Chinese applicants should confirm the nearest accredited Eritrean mission and current fees directly before applying. Given the absence of any confirmed visa-free, VoA, or eVisa channel for ordinary Chinese passports, the conservative and accurate verdict is visa-required.
