Do Canada passport holders need a visa to visit TT?
No visa required. Canadian ordinary passport holders can enter Trinidad and Tobago visa-free for tourism for stays of up to 90 days. Canadian citizens holding an ordinary passport do not need a visa to visit Trinidad and Tobago for tourism. Canada appears on the official Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of National Security list of visa-exempt countries, and the Government of Canada travel advisory confirms that no visa is required for tourist stays of up to 90 days (business visits up to 30 days). On arrival, an immigration officer stamps your passport with the authorized period of stay; this is granted at the officer's discretion and can be shorter than 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay, and you must show a return or onward ticket plus proof of sufficient funds. There is no eVisa, ETA, or visa-on-arrival process to complete in advance for tourism. Extensions beyond the stamped period must be requested from the Immigration Division in Trinidad before the authorized stay expires. Trinidad and Tobago is in the Caribbean and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
