Do Canada passport holders need a visa to visit PK?
Canadian passport holders need an eVisa to visit Pakistan. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel. Apply online through the official Pakistan Online Visa System (NADRA) before you travel; manual/embassy paper visas were discontinued in 2021, and the free "Visa Prior to Arrival" pilot that briefly covered Canada was suspended as of January 1, 2026. A Canadian ordinary passport holder traveling to Pakistan for tourism must obtain an electronic visa (eVisa) in advance through the government's Pakistan Online Visa System operated by NADRA (visa.nadra.gov.pk). Pakistan discontinued all manual/sticker visa processing at its consulates on January 31, 2021, so the online eVisa is the only route. In August 2024 Pakistan launched a free "Visa Prior to Arrival" e-visa for citizens of 126 countries (including Canada), but that fee-waiver program has been suspended since January 1, 2026, and Canadians once again pay the standard tourist eVisa fee (around USD 60). The tourist eVisa is typically single-entry with a stay of up to 90 days and validity of three months from issue; processing is officially 7-10 working days but can take up to about 20 business days. Travelers should apply only on the official NADRA portal and note that Canada maintains an elevated travel advisory for Pakistan.
