🇨🇦加拿大(Canada)🇮🇸冰岛(Iceland)CA-IS 加拿大(Canada) 前往 冰岛(Iceland) 签证要求
No. As of 31 May 2026, Canadian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Iceland for tourism. Iceland is in the Schengen Area, so Canadians can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. ETIAS is not yet required (expected to launch in late 2026); until then, just arrive with a valid passport. Iceland is a member of the Schengen Area, and Canada is on the EU's visa-exempt (Annex II) list. This means a Canadian citizen holding an ordinary passport may travel to Iceland for tourism, business, or family visits without any visa for short stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. The 90 days are cumulative across ALL Schengen countries, not Iceland alone. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended date of departure from the Schengen Area and should have been issued within the previous 10 years. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) became operational on 12 October 2025 and reaches full deployment by April 2026; it registers non-EU travellers biometrically (fingerprints and facial image) at the border in place of passport stamps, but it is not a visa and requires no advance application. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is a separate pre-travel authorisation (EUR 20, valid 3 years) that Canadians WILL need once it goes live, expected in the last quarter of 2026. As of 31 May 2026, ETIAS is NOT yet operational and NOT required. Beware of fraudulent third-party 'ETIAS' or 'Iceland visa' websites; when the system launches it will only be available through the official EU portal.
