Canadian passport holders need an e-Visa to visit Benin for tourism. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel. The most common choice for a short tourist trip is the 30-day single-entry e-Visa, which costs EUR 50 when you apply yourself (EUR 60 if processed via an embassy). Multiple-entry (30-day, EUR 75) and 90-day multiple-entry (EUR 100) options are also available. Processing typically takes a few business days, so apply at least a week or two ahead. Two non-visa entry requirements are critical: your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure, and proof of yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for all travellers entering Benin.
