Do Canada passport holders need a visa to visit AR?

No. Canadian ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to enter Argentina for tourism and can stay up to 90 days. No reciprocity fee applies. Canadian citizens holding an ordinary passport are visa-exempt for tourism in Argentina and may stay up to 90 consecutive days from the date of entry. The previously charged "reciprocity fee" was suspended years ago and is not collected. The 90-day stay can be extended once for an additional 90 days by applying in person at a National Directorate of Migration (Direccion Nacional de Migraciones) office before the original period expires (a fee applies). Argentina is in South America, not the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. All travelers undergo biometric checks (fingerprints and a digital photo) on entry and exit. Immigration may ask for proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Travelers using emergency, provisional, or refugee travel documents do require a visa regardless of nationality.
