Do Canada passport holders need a visa to visit AM?

Canadian passport holders need a visa for Armenia. The easiest route is the official online e-Visa at evisa.mfa.am, with a visa-on-arrival also available at Zvartnots International Airport. Armenia is not visa-free for ordinary Canadian passport holders, and it is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Canadians have two convenient options for a short tourist visit. The recommended method is the government e-Visa applied for in advance through the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal at evisa.mfa.am, which is issued for either 21 days (single entry) or 120 days (single or multiple entry). Alternatively, a visa on arrival can be obtained at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan and other designated border crossings, valid for up to 120 days. The e-Visa is typically processed within about 3 business days. A passport valid for at least the duration of stay (commonly recommended six months of validity) and proof of onward travel are expected. Visas can normally be extended for up to an additional 60 days from within Armenia. Because both channels exist and conditions can change, applying for the e-Visa before departure is the safest approach.
