Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit SB?
No advance visa needed. Brazilian ordinary passport holders receive a free Visitor Permit on arrival in the Solomon Islands, valid for up to 3 months within any 12-month period, for tourism. Brazil is on the Solomon Islands' list of countries eligible for a free Visitor Permit issued on arrival. A Brazilian ordinary passport holder traveling for tourism does not apply for a visa in advance: the permit is granted at the port of entry (Honiara/Henderson International Airport) provided the traveler holds a passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages, a confirmed return or onward ticket, and evidence of sufficient funds for the stay. The permit allows a stay of up to 3 months (90 days) within any one-year period and is issued free of charge. Because the authorization is granted at the border rather than pre-approved online or at an embassy, this is classified as a visa-on-arrival arrangement. The Solomon Islands is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should also be aware of standard health entry requirements (a yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required if arriving from or transiting a country with risk of yellow fever transmission — relevant for some routings out of Brazil).
