No tourist visa needed. Brazilian ordinary passport holders can enter Luxembourg visa-free for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. Brazil is a Schengen Annex II (visa-exempt) country under the EU-Brazil short-stay visa waiver agreement, and Luxembourg is a full member of the Schengen Area. As of 30 May 2026, a Brazilian ordinary passport holder may travel to Luxembourg for tourism, family/friend visits, business meetings or conferences without a visa, staying up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen zone (not 90 days per country). No application or fee is required before travel. The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date and have been issued within the previous 10 years. Travelers should be ready to show proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds, as Schengen entry conditions still apply at the border. The new ETIAS travel authorisation (EUR 20, valid 3 years, online) will eventually apply to visa-exempt nationals including Brazilians, but it is NOT yet operational. Its launch is scheduled for the last quarter of 2026, followed by a transitional grace period, and it will not become a mandatory condition of entry until 2027. Until then, Brazilians enter purely visa-free with no online authorisation. The Entry/Exit System (EES) for biometric border registration began phased rollout from late 2025 and may apply at the border, but it is automatic and free.
