Brazilian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Liberia. The realistic channel for a short tourist visit is the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), launched 11 March 2025, applied for online before travel and collected at Roberts International Airport (Monrovia). The fee is about USD 102.50. Liberia is not in the Schengen area and does not grant visa-free access to Brazilian citizens. Brazil is not on Liberia's visa-exemption list (which is limited mainly to ECOWAS states and a small number of partners), so a visa is required for tourism. Since the launch of the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) platform on 11 March 2025, Brazilian travelers can pre-apply online through the Liberia Immigration Service portal (visaonarrival.lis.gov.lr), upload a passport scan and photo, pay the USD 102.50 fee by Visa or Mastercard, and receive an approval (PDF/QR code) by email, typically within about 3 days. The approval is valid for entry within 3 months; the actual permitted stay (commonly 30 or 90 days) is set by the immigration officer at arrival. The visa is collected exclusively at Roberts International Airport (ROB) in Monrovia. Note: the portal states that nationals of countries with a Liberian embassy must apply at that embassy instead. Liberia maintains only an honorary consular presence in Sao Paulo rather than a full visa-issuing embassy in Brazil, so the e-VOA is in practice the primary route for Brazilians; travelers should nonetheless verify current consular options before booking. A passport valid at least 6 months beyond entry is required. Always reconfirm on the official LIS portal close to departure, as fees and rules can change.
