Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit KZ?

No visa needed. Brazilian ordinary passport holders can enter Kazakhstan visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days per visit. Brazil and Kazakhstan have a reciprocal visa-waiver arrangement, so holders of an ordinary (common) Brazilian passport can travel to Kazakhstan for tourism, business, or short visits without obtaining a visa in advance. The visa-free stay is up to 30 days per entry, with an aggregate ceiling of 30 days within any rolling 12-month period under Kazakhstan's standard short-stay rule for visa-exempt nationals. No visa fee, no embassy application, and no letter of invitation are required for this short-stay channel; travelers simply present a valid passport at any international airport or land border. Kazakhstan launched the QazETA Electronic Travel Authorization (via the QazETA mobile app) in July 2025 for visa-exempt travelers. As of 30 May 2026 the ETA remains in a pilot/transition phase and is recommended but NOT yet mandatory for Brazilian visitors; it is currently issued free of charge and is expected to become compulsory in future, so travelers should check its status close to departure.
