Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit KW?

Brazilian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Kuwait for tourism. Brazil is not on Kuwait's visa-on-arrival/eVisa eligible list, so a tourist visa must normally be arranged in advance through the Embassy of Kuwait in Brasilia (or via a licensed Kuwaiti sponsor). An eVisa is only realistically available if you hold a valid US, Schengen, UK or GCC visa/residence. As of 31 May 2026, a Brazil (BR) ordinary passport holder is NOT eligible for Kuwait's visa-on-arrival or standard online eVisa, which are limited to roughly 53 listed nationalities (EU/EEA, UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, GCC residents, etc.). Brazil does not appear on that list. Brazilians must therefore obtain a Kuwaiti tourist/visit visa in advance, typically through the Embassy of Kuwait in Brasilia or via a Kuwaiti sponsor who lodges the application with Kuwait's Ministry of Interior (General Directorate of Residency). A limited eVisa pathway exists only for Brazilians who already hold a valid US, Schengen Area, UK or GCC visa or residence permit. Sources are mixed: most authoritative trackers (Wikipedia's reproduction of the official eligible list, Sherpa, embassies.net) exclude Brazil from eVisa/VoA, while some commercial visa resellers claim Brazil is eligible. Following a conservative reading and the official eligible-country list, the correct verdict for a Brazilian ordinary passport is visa-required. Note that Kuwait periodically suspends or revises tourist/visit visa issuance while migrating entry systems, so applicants should confirm current status before booking. Passport must be valid at least 6 months; onward/return ticket, hotel booking and proof of funds are expected.
