Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit the Dominican Republic for tourism. Entry is visa-free for up to 60 days. You must complete the free electronic E-Ticket form (eticket.migracion.gob.do) before arrival and departure, and the US$10 tourist card fee is already bundled into your airline ticket for air arrivals. As of 30 May 2026, citizens of Brazil holding an ordinary passport enjoy visa-free (visa-exempt) entry to the Dominican Republic for tourism and short visits. No visa, e-visa, or visa-on-arrival is required. The standard permitted stay for Brazilian tourists is up to 60 days. The Dominican Republic is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Two mandatory non-visa formalities apply to all air travelers: (1) the free electronic E-Ticket (Entry/Exit form) at eticket.migracion.gob.do, which produces a QR code presented at immigration on both arrival and departure; and (2) the US$10 tourist card fee, which since 2018 is automatically included in the price of airline tickets issued outside the Dominican Republic (so air travelers do not buy a separate card). A US$20 departure tax is likewise included in the airfare. Under a special government measure in effect through 31 December 2026, Brazilian passports need only be valid for the duration of the stay rather than the usual six months; however, many airlines and border officers still prefer six months' validity, so travelers should keep ample validity to avoid problems. Travelers staying beyond the granted period (or beyond 30 days on some interpretations) may face a sliding-scale overstay fee, settled on departure. Standard supporting documents include a return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and proof of sufficient funds.
