Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit CY?

Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Cyprus. They can enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Brazil ordinary passport holders can travel to Cyprus for tourism without a visa. Cyprus is an EU member state but is NOT yet part of the Schengen Area (full Schengen integration is still pending as of mid-2026), so it operates its own visa policy. Under the EU visa-waiver framework and Cyprus's own rules, Brazilian nationals are visa-exempt for short stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. Because Cyprus is outside Schengen, time spent in Cyprus does not currently count against the separate Schengen 90/180 allowance, and a Schengen visa is not valid for entry into Cyprus on its own (though Cyprus recognizes certain double-entry Schengen visas for transit). At the border, travelers should carry a passport valid for the duration of stay (6 months beyond departure recommended), proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, sufficient funds, and travel/health insurance. ETIAS, the EU travel authorization, is targeted for the end of 2026 with a transitional period; it is NOT in force as of 30 May 2026, so no ETIAS is required for this trip today, but Brazilian travelers should check ETIAS status before future trips once it launches and once Cyprus completes Schengen integration.
