Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Belize. Brazil is on Belize's visa-exempt list; visitors are admitted visa-free and a visa is only required if the stay exceeds 90 days. As of 2026, Brazilian citizens holding an ordinary passport can travel to Belize for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance or on arrival. Brazil appears on Belize's official visa-exemption list, and the Belize Immigration Department confirms Brazilians require a visa only if the intended stay is longer than 90 days. In practice, immigration officers typically grant an initial stay of about 30 days on arrival, which can be extended at an Immigration office for additional 30-day periods up to roughly six to twelve months total (paying an extension fee each time). To enter, travelers must hold a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond arrival, show a return/onward ticket, and demonstrate sufficient funds (about US$75 per day) plus any documents required for the next destination. There is no visa fee, but Belize charges a departure tax when leaving: about US$73.50 (inclusive of the PACT conservation fee) for international air departures, or about BZ$40 at the Guatemala/Mexico land borders. Belize rolled out electronic immigration/customs arrival and departure forms in 2024-2025 (paper forms fully phased out by 31 March 2025), so travelers should complete the online form before arrival; this is an immigration form, not a visa or ETA. Belize is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
