Australian ordinary passport holders do not need a visa for tourist visits to Zambia. They are granted a free 90-day stay on arrival under Zambia's visa-exemption list. As of 2026-05-31, Australia is on Zambia's official visa-exemption list. Holders of an ordinary Australian passport can enter Zambia for tourism, business or transit without obtaining any visa in advance or on arrival, and pay no visa fee. The Zambia Department of Immigration grants all ordinary visitors, business visitors and tourists a free 90-day stay within any 12-month period counted from the date of first entry; the full 90 days may not always be stamped at once but can be extended free of charge at the nearest Immigration Office. To be admitted you must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry with at least three full blank pages. Air arrivals must show a valid return air ticket; land or water arrivals must show sufficient funds for the stay and onward departure. There is no eVisa or visa-on-arrival requirement for Australians because no visa is needed at all. Note that the regional KAZA UNIVISA (covering Zambia and Zimbabwe with Botswana day trips) is a separate optional product and is not required for Australians making a standard visa-free entry into Zambia.
