🇦🇺澳大利亚(Australia)🇳🇮尼加拉瓜(Nicaragua)AU-NI 澳大利亚(Australia) 前往 尼加拉瓜(Nicaragua) 签证要求
Australian ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to visit Nicaragua for tourism. You may stay up to 90 days. On arrival you must buy a Tourist Card for US$10 (cash), and a US$35 airport departure tax applies on exit (often bundled into the airfare). Australia is on Nicaragua's visa-exempt list (Category A), so Australian ordinary passport holders may enter for tourism without a visa for stays of up to 90 days. No visa or eVisa is required in advance for short tourist visits. At the port of entry, all visa-exempt travellers must purchase a Tourist Card costing US$10, payable in cash (USD or Nicaraguan Cordoba) — credit cards are generally not accepted for this fee. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry, and travellers should be able to show proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Stays can be extended for an additional 30 days at the immigration office (Direccion General de Migracion y Extranjeria) in Managua for a fee. A departure tax of approximately US$35 applies when leaving by air, though most international airlines now include this in the ticket price. Nicaragua introduced an electronic visa portal in 2026 for nationalities that require visas, but this does not affect Australians, who remain visa-free. Note that Nicaragua is in Central America and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Conditions can change at short notice, so confirm with Smartraveller and a Nicaraguan diplomatic mission before travel.
