Austrian (ordinary) passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Jamaica. They are granted visa-free entry for up to 30 days. The only mandatory pre-arrival step is the free online Electronic C5 Passenger Declaration (Immigration & Customs) at enterjamaica.gov.jm. Austria is on Jamaica's visa-exemption list. Ordinary Austrian passport holders may enter Jamaica visa-free for tourism and short visits for a maximum of 30 days, with the period of stay determined by the immigration officer at the port of entry. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for this purpose. Standard entry conditions apply: a passport valid for the duration of the intended stay, evidence of sufficient funds, and a confirmed onward or return ticket. Since 1 September 2023, every traveller arriving by air or sea must complete the free Electronic C5 Passenger Declaration (a combined immigration and customs form) on the official enterjamaica.gov.jm portal before arrival; this is not a visa and carries no fee. Travellers wishing to stay beyond 30 days, or who intend to work, study, or engage in business, must instead obtain the appropriate visa or permit from Jamaican authorities.
