🇦🇹奥地利(Austria)🇧🇳文莱(Brunei)AT-BN 奥地利(Austria) 前往 文莱(Brunei) 签证要求
Austrian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Brunei. They receive 90 days visa-free on arrival. However, since 2 April 2025 all European visitors must complete the free online Brunei E-Arrival Card before arrival. Austria is a European Union member state, and EU/Schengen nationals are granted visa-free entry to Brunei Darussalam for stays of up to 90 days for tourism and short visits. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for an Austrian ordinary passport holder on a short tourist trip. Two practical conditions apply: the passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and travelers should hold proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. The most important recent change is operational rather than a visa change: Brunei rolled out a mandatory E-Arrival Card in early 2025 (mandatory for European nationals from 2 April 2025), which every visitor must complete online before arrival regardless of visa-free status. The card is free and submitted via the Brunei Immigration Department portal, typically up to three days before arrival. Brunei is NOT in the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this direction of travel (ETIAS only affects Bruneians visiting Europe). Brunei is also an alcohol-restricted, predominantly Muslim country with conservative laws, so visitors should be aware of customs limits and local conduct rules. The 90-day visa-free verdict is confirmed by the Wikipedia visa-requirements/visa-policy pages and corroborated by travel-advisory and immigration-guide sources.
