Argentine ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Guyana. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days. Argentina (AR) ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Guyana (GY) for tourism and short visits, with a permitted stay of up to 90 days. This exemption is confirmed by Guyana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Guyana visa-exempt list, and it is reciprocal (Guyanese ordinary passport holders likewise enter Argentina visa-free for 90 days). Note that Guyana is a South American country but is NOT part of the Mercosur ID-card free-movement zone, so Argentine travelers must carry a valid passport rather than only a national identity document. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for the visa-free channel. Travelers should hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, carry proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds, and complete the arrival/departure immigration formalities. Guyana is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. As of 2026-05-30 there were no announced changes affecting Argentine nationals; the only recent change to Guyana's visa policy was the cancellation of Albania's exemption (July 2024).
