Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit VE?

UAE ordinary passport holders need a visa for Venezuela, but as of 2026 they apply online through Venezuela's new electronic visa (eVisa) system rather than visiting an embassy in person. A United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holder is NOT eligible for visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival in Venezuela. Venezuela requires a visa from Emirati nationals. However, in early 2026 Venezuela's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MPPRE) launched an electronic visa (visa electronica) system through its Cancilleria Digital portal, open to nationals of all countries, which replaced the previous embassy-only process for most travelers. UAE applicants complete the tourist eVisa application online, upload supporting documents, and receive an electronic visa by email that must be printed and presented at the border (no physical passport stamp is issued). The eVisa is issued for one year with multiple entries. Reported government processing has shortened to roughly 10-15 days. Fee reporting is inconsistent during the rollout (some sources cite around USD 180, others report the fee waived during the initial launch period), so applicants should confirm the current charge on the official portal. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and proof of onward travel plus accommodation is typically required. Note: Venezuela is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
