Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit UA?

UAE ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Ukraine. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period under the bilateral visa-waiver agreement in force since 31 December 2017. Citizens of the United Arab Emirates holding ordinary passports enjoy visa-free entry to Ukraine for tourism and short visits, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This is based on a bilateral visa exemption agreement between Ukraine and the UAE that entered into force on 31 December 2017, and the UAE remains on Ukraine's official visa-free list. No eVisa or visa-on-arrival is required for short stays. IMPORTANT CONTEXT: Ukraine has been under martial law since February 2022 and its civilian airspace remains CLOSED, so there are no commercial flights into Ukraine. Travelers must enter overland (typically via Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania or Moldova). At the border, foreigners must present a valid passport (valid at least 3 months beyond intended departure, with at least 2 blank pages), valid medical/travel insurance (mandatory), proof of sufficient funds, and documents confirming the purpose of the trip. Active hostilities and missile-attack risk affect the whole country; travel is strongly discouraged by many governments. The visa-free legal status, however, is unchanged.
