Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit TT?
A United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holder needs a visa to enter Trinidad and Tobago for tourism. It is not a visa-free or visa-on-arrival destination for Emiratis. The standard channel is the Trinidad and Tobago eVisa, applied for online before travel. The Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs "Visa Requirements for All Countries" document explicitly lists the United Arab Emirates with "Business/Vacation - Yes" in the VISA REQUIRED column, with no visa-waiver remark. This means an Emirati ordinary passport holder must obtain a visa before traveling for tourism or a short visit. (Some third-party passport-index sites incorrectly show the UAE as visa-exempt; the official government source overrides them.) Trinidad and Tobago operates an eVisa system through the Immigration Division, allowing visa-required nationals to apply fully online and receive the visa by email. Visa fees were revised effective 1 January 2026. Middle-East, African and Asian applicants are advised to submit applications roughly four weeks before departure because security clearance can take time. A visa does not guarantee entry; the immigration officer makes the final decision at the port of entry. Travelers should carry proof of accommodation, return/onward tickets and sufficient funds, and the passport must be valid for at least six months.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
