Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit PY?
No visa needed. UAE ordinary passport holders can enter Paraguay visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism or short visits. Holders of an ordinary United Arab Emirates passport do not need a visa to visit Paraguay for tourism. Under a mutual visa-waiver Memorandum of Understanding signed on 24 September 2018 and effective from 16 August 2019, UAE nationals holding diplomatic, special, or ordinary passports may enter Paraguay without any pre-entry visa and stay for up to 90 days per visit, with no visa fee. This replaced Paraguay's former system of a USD 100 visa on arrival. Travelers simply present a valid passport on arrival. Paraguay is not part of the Schengen area, so no Schengen 90/180 rule or ETIAS applies. As always, travelers should hold a passport valid for the duration of stay (a six-month buffer is widely recommended), proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. The 90-day visa-free allowance is for tourism and short visits only; work, study, or long-term residence require the appropriate visa or residence permit obtained separately.
