Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit NG?

UAE ordinary passport holders need a Nigeria e-Visa (Tourism Visa F5A) before travel. Apply online at the Nigeria Immigration Service portal; decisions are issued within about 48 hours. Visa-on-arrival was discontinued on 1 May 2025. As of 31 May 2026, a United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holder traveling to Nigeria for tourism or a short visit requires a visa, obtained electronically through Nigeria's e-Visa system. Nigeria launched a mandatory online e-Visa platform on 1 May 2025 under its Nigeria Visa Policy 2025, simultaneously discontinuing the previous visa-on-arrival (VOA) channel for new applicants. The UAE is among the 177 nationalities eligible to apply for the e-Visa. The relevant category for tourism is the Tourism Visa (F5A): a single-entry visa valid for 90 days from issuance, permitting a maximum stay of 30 days, and not extendable. Applications are submitted entirely online (passport bio-data, photo, return ticket, hotel/host details, bank statement), the government immigration fee for UAE single-entry is approximately US$150, and decisions are normally issued within 48 hours. Travelers must also complete the mandatory digital Landing and Exit Card before boarding. Nigeria is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply.
