Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit MN?
UAE ordinary passport holders can visit Mongolia visa-free for up to 30 days per visit. No visa or eVisa is required for short tourist stays. As of May 2026, holders of an ordinary United Arab Emirates passport do NOT need a visa to visit Mongolia for tourism or short business. Under a mutual visa-exemption Memorandum of Understanding signed between the UAE and Mongolia, which entered into force on 28 December 2023, UAE nationals holding ordinary, special, mission and diplomatic passports may enter Mongolia visa-free and stay up to 30 days per visit. The exemption is reciprocal: Mongolian ordinary passport holders likewise enjoy visa-free entry to the UAE. Travelers simply present a passport valid for at least six months beyond entry at a Mongolian port of entry; no advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed. Registration with the Mongolian Immigration Agency is only required for those intending to stay longer than 30 days (within the first 7 days of arrival), so it does not affect standard short tourist trips. If a UAE traveler plans to remain beyond 30 days, they must register and/or apply for an appropriate visa, as the visa-free entry is not extendable beyond the 30-day cap. Mongolia is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
