UAE ordinary passport holders need a visa for Myanmar. A United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holder cannot enter Myanmar visa-free and there is no general tourist visa-on-arrival channel for UAE nationals. The recommended route is the official Myanmar tourist eVisa, applied for online at evisa.moip.gov.mm before travel. The tourist eVisa costs 50 USD, is single entry, permits a maximum stay of 28 days (non-extendable), and is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, meaning you must enter Myanmar within that window. The official FAQ states that normal tourist and business eVisa processing takes a minimum of 3 working days, excluding weekends and Myanmar public holidays. Applicants need a passport valid at least 6 months with a blank page, a recent passport-style photo, confirmed onward/return travel and accommodation details, and must enter through an approved eVisa port: Yangon, Mandalay or Nay Pyi Taw international airport, or the Kawthaung International Land Border Checkpoint. As an alternative, the Myanmar Consulate General in Dubai issues a traditional sticker tourist visa (AED 150, 28 days), but it explicitly recommends applying for the eVisa online. No visa-free or visa-waiver agreement currently applies to UAE ordinary passports for Myanmar tourism, so a pre-arranged visa is mandatory.
